Perplexity, which created a next-generation AI search engine, has decided to compete with the free encyclopedia.
Users have used Perplexity to search for answers, explore new topics, and expand knowledge. Now, everyone can share what they learned. Perplexity Pages will help with this — a service for creating wiki articles based on users' search results.
"Perplexity’s mission is to cater to the world's curiosity. We have taken inspiration from Wikipedia with citations. We’re excited to take it further by launching Pages, best described as 'AI Wikipedia.'" — Aravind Srinivas, Perplexity CEO
