SOL-STICE BLESSINGS

{continued from above}

These saviour archetypes, these redemptive forces all point The Way for us to follow. To be-co-me* re-united with "The Father" (The One) we must go through a symbolic death and re-birth process. Solar consciousness is ego-consciousness, the sense of being an individual, and despite what many gurus teach, the ego is not a wholly bad thing... ask yourself, is our Sun a "bad thing", or is it ambivalent? Does it have the capacity to bring life, as well as death to The Earth? So too with the ego.

Whilst our ego - our inner Hero - is immature, not having had to undergo the trials and tribulations which await in the forthcoming Underworld Journey (through Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces), it is as yet in its nascent state.

The true message of Christ, or any of the great redeemers, could not be realeyesd until that form of consciousness had been through a radical transformation ("death"). So, by willingly (< the all-important word) going into the death experience, where death means the passing away of that which no longer serves our journey, we face the long night of deep metamorphic change.

Are we able to face the mystery of the darkness, of the inner, lunar world and find within these introspective moonths the long-lost treasures that have been buried deep, and which are waiting to be brought forth into the solar world once again with the Spring Equinox?

So as the sun "out there" "dies" for three days and three nights before being resurrected, so too is your inner light going through a preparation for the winter ahead; for 'All is Atum':

'As Above, So Below, As Within, So Without, As with The Uni-Verse, so too The Soul'.

Honour it. Take time for your own spiritual practices, whatever they may be. I for one will be drinking some Cacao by candle-light with my love and reading a full, 11 card worldtree tarot spread.

May the light of Eärendil guide you through this beauty-full, but often difficult time of year.

Namárië,

Aaron
