Historical Herbalists: Hippocrates
Many of us know Hippocrates as the “Father of Medicine.”Similar to other figures from ancient history, the life and contributions of the Ancient Greek physician are mixed with tales told long after his death in 370 BCE.For example, the Hippocratic Oath is not by Hippocrates himself, but is from after his death, written by physicians influenced by the Hippocratic Corpus. The Hippocratic Corpus is a collection of 60 texts which includes writings by some of his students.
