Spagyrics is a branch of alchemy that arose in Europe (largely due to the works of Paracelsus) in the 16th century, but goes much much further back in time.Traces of the alchemical tradition show up in Ancient Egypt, China, and India. Parallels occur between these different cultures, showing continuity of universal intelligence. In India, this is part of Unani medicine, which hails from Ancient Greece. Western forms of Alchemy are primarily based on Egyptian traditions.
