Bill Gates’ $32.7B Portfolio
The Gates Foundation Trust holds 24 stocks worth about $32.7B at today’s prices, and three-quarters of that sits in just four names:
• Berkshire Hathaway: $7.7B
• Canadian National Railway: $6.2B
• Waste Management: $5.8B
• Caterpillar: $4.8B
• Deere & Company: $2.3B
• Ecolab: $1.5B
• Walmart: $970M
• Other 17 stocks: $3.4B
There’s no Microsoft and no big tech, just railways, waste collection, machinery and Berkshire. Caterpillar is down 30% since June, which cut about $2B and took the portfolio from $34.4B to $32.7B.
Our estimate: Q2 2026 13F positions valued at Oct 14 prices, assuming no trades since June 30.
