🐹 HR (Hamster Resources): Because Even Pixels Need Sleep
We’ve added an energy system for your hamsters. Think of it as HR, but for rodents.
✍️ How it works?
• On the job: When you release a game, only a small crew actually pays the price—based on the genre. A tiny Clicker? Maybe 1 dev, 1 artist, 1 designer. A huge RPG? More hamsters get tired. Who exactly loses energy is random among those who worked on that project. No favoritism.
• Low energy = lower output: Below 70 energy, a hamster is 15% less effective (speed + fun). Below 30, it’s 30% less. Tired hamsters make slower games and less fun. Basic hamster economics.
• Recovery: Send them on vacation and they recharge over time (no hourly micro-updates—we recalc when they’re back). Or use the Restore button and pay soft money (price depends on rank: Junior → Star). Your call.
🤓 Why we did it?
So “who works on what” and “who gets rest” actually matter. You can’t run the same few hamsters 24/7 without consequences, and you’re encouraged to use vacation slots and a bit of strategy. Also, “HR (Hamster Resources)” was too good a name to waste.
🤔 TL;DR: Hamsters have energy. Releases cost energy for a few random workers per genre. Low energy = less productivity. Vacation or paid restore brings them back. Now go manage your hamster resources.
