⚠️ A victim fell for a social engineering scam twice

The same person had previously experienced a loss of $24 million in 2023. After dedicating years rebuilding their assets, they were unfortunately targeted once more, resulting in an additional loss of $25 million.

⚠️ JUST IN: Coinsbuy wallets reportedly had over $7.9M drained on TRON and Ethereum

The attacker started laundering funds into Monero via exchanges. Six figures were frozen, and Coinsbuy paused then resumed deposits and withdrawals.

⚠️ Trezor user lost their life savings after clicking a phishing site in a Google ad.

A fake Trezor site, pushed through Google search, supposedly tricked someone into giving up their recovery seed.

Attackers then drained the wallet.

⚠️ Ex-FBI agent accused of swiping almost $1M in crypto from wallets linked to an FBI probe.

According to a federal complaint, Mr. Patrick Yaroch informed investigators that he had become frustrated with the FBI and had been in possession of the cryptocurrency since last year.

Telegram has been reinstated on the App Store for all iOS users.

However, it appears that no new updates have been released yet, so it may still be too soon to expect any changes.

💡 ICYMI: The cumulative reported loss of Bitcoin has reached over 3 million BTC

Where, 1.57 million BTC, currently valued at approximately $100 billion, was lost through self-custody. While an additional 1.51 million BTC, which was valued at $6.78 billion at the time of loss and is currently worth around $96 billion, was lost on exchanges.

It is impossible to determine the full extent of Bitcoin lost by exchanges or the amount of personal information that has been compromised. However, large-scale losses leading to lawsuits and bankruptcies are typically documented in the public record.

🚨 NEW: Coldcard thief gets a $1 on-chain laundering pitch.

The attacker's biggest consolidation address, which has 562 BTC, received a dust transaction with an OP_RETURN message offering laundering services for a 10% cut.

The OP_RETURN message contains the Telegram handle of the sender of the solicitation, which we have opted not to disclose.

There is also no evidence to suggest the advertised account is authentic.

The stolen bitcoin hasn't moved yet.
