it would be truly interesting if the police got demoralized enough to stop enforcing. While many of them are mindless dogs, I am sure there are also many in their ranks who understand the absurdity of the situation, and how they are working against their own direct interest for people who hate them.
For the nationalists there, I think sitting back for the time being is the smart move. Their involvement would become a uniting cause for the police, the government, and the rioters to turn against.
Personally, I would sit back and let the situation unfold, while still keeping an eye on the prize and staying ready for any opportunity that may present itself.
