How to Use NFT Telegram Usernames

1. Download Tonkeeper

Download the app on your phone, create a wallet and save the 24 word seed phrase. Here

2. Send the seller your TON address

In the Tonkeeper app, copy your TON receiving address, this address will be used to receive your username NFT.

3. Connect Tonkeeper to Fragment

Once your wallet is set-up, go to fragment.com, click the Connect TON button, and connect your Tonkeeper wallet.

4. Connect Telegram

Once your wallet is connected on fragment.com, click the Connect Telegram button, and type in your Telegram phone number, then approve the login from your Telegram app.

5. Assign the username

Upon receiving the username NFT, head to https://fragment.com/my/assets and assign it.

If you want to assign it to your account click Personal account.

If you want to assign it to a channel, choose your specfic channel.

6. Activate the username

Go to your Telegram app

Personal Profile: Settings > Edit profile > Username > Click the username and activate it

Channel: Manage Channel > Channel type > Manage links > Click the username and activate it

7. Optionally deactivate your old Non-NFT username

If you want to only display your new NFT username instead of @username also @username123 you can deactivate your old Non-NFT username simply by going to your username settings inside telegram again and clearing out your Non-NFT username @username123 then clicking save.

Additional Tips

- Make sure to write down your seed phrase.
