A crew calling itself iamnotavillain just handed Revolut a 24-hour ultimatum: $3 million in Monero (6,000 XMR) or your stolen customer data goes to the highest bidder among other criminal groups. At least 680 accounts got hit, and these bastards specifically hunted for users with fat crypto bags. Yeah, they knew exactly who to rob.
▪️ No brute-force shit here. They posed as government officials and sent info requests that sailed right through Revolut's checks. Social engineering 101, and the bank bought it.
▪️ Targets were picked using blockchain analysis to find Revolut accounts with significant crypto holdings. Translation: if you were stacking sats on there, you were on the menu.
▪️ The stolen data includes passports, driving licences, KYC selfies and transaction histories. The hackers sent the FT a 60-second screen recording as proof. Because why not flex?
▪️ Revolut says it blocked the address used in the requests and notified law enforcement and regulators. Customer funds were untouched — cool story, bro. Identity docs? That's a different shitshow.
▪️ No negotiations have happened so far, according to the hackers. The countdown clock is ticking. Tick-tock.

680+If you're holding serious crypto on Revolut, your passport and transaction history might already be in some scumbag's Telegram folder. The bank says funds are safe — cool, but identity theft doesn't care about your balance. Watch for phishing attempts using your actual KYC data; these guys aren't amateurs. They're not here to pump your bags, they're here to harvest your identity. Stay paranoid.

🔮 Revolut's 'sophisticated checks' let fake government requests through. Your KYC is only as safe as the intern who approves it. Sleep tight.
