GOTPAWSED | Tech news The exact amount of Solana (SOL) required to swap a token in the Phantom wallet depends on several factors, and it’s not possible to give a fixed number for all cases. These factors include: 1. Solana Network Fees: The Solana network is known for its very…
Phantom typically recommends keeping at least 0.05 SOL in your wallet to ensure transactions (including swaps) go through smoothly. This acts as a buffer to cover network costs
Suppose you want to swap $10 worth of USDC for another token:
Phantom fee: 0.85% of $10 = $0.085 (converted to SOL, e.g., about 0.0005 SOL at current prices).
Network fee: Around 0.001 SOL per transaction (could be 1 or 2 transactions).
Total estimate: 0.002 to 0.005 SOL, plus a small buffer (e.g., 0.01 SOL).

The Solana network is known for its very low fees. Typically, the fee for each transaction (including a swap) is less than 0.001 SOL (roughly a few cents). However, a swap might involve multiple transactions (e.g., approval and token transfer), so you should account for slightly more.
The Phantom wallet itself charges a fixed fee of 0.85% of the transaction amount for swaps. This fee depends on the value of the token being swapped, not a fixed SOL amount. For example, if you swap $100 worth of tokens, Phantom’s fee would be about $0.85, which needs to be paid in SOL.
GOTPAWSED | Tech news Many of you are not familiar with the Solana network and Phantom Wallet On the day of the $PAWS token listing, when token withdrawals open, I will make video tutorials on withdrawing, selling or swapping tokens.
