Google has introduced a native Pixel Weather app.

For a long time, Pixel devices offered a page belonging to the Google Search app as the center of weather information. Along with the presentation of Pixel 9, Google introduced a new native weather app that also offers new functionality.

The home page is a list of the cities you have added. Famous cities have their landmarks in the background, the rest will just have a cloudy background with outlines of skyscrapers or without them.

The 10-day weather forecast block and the lower info-tiles (wind, humidity, etc.) can be moved between each other. If you click on one of the tiles, you will see a detailed description of the info they provide.

[Not enabled yet] The app will also offer a Weather map with precipitation forecast, which currently only works in the US, UK and most EU countries excluding Italy, Luxembourg, and Lichtenstein.

In addition to a different design, the app will soon show custom AI weather reports made with Gemini Nano.
