This world may mock, scoff, and malign, but I will never apologize for the One who bled for me.
I am not ashamed of Jesus Christ—the Son of the living GOD—because He was not ashamed to call me His own (Hebrews 2:11).
I am not ashamed of His Word, for it is truth (John 17:17).
I am not ashamed of His cross, because it is the power of GOD unto salvation (Romans 1:16).
I am not ashamed of His name, because there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
I am not ashamed to stand alone, if it means I stand with Christ.
I am not ashamed of His lordship, His holiness, His mercy, His justice, or His return in glory.
He bore my shame, my guilt, and my sin. He faced rejection, scorn, and wrath in my place. So how could I ever shrink back from declaring my love for Him?
The world can keep its applause.
I live for the approval of my Savior.
The culture can cancel me.
My identity is hidden with Christ in GOD (Colossians 3:3).
The enemy can rage, but I am sealed by the Spirit, bought with the blood, and held in sovereign hands.
Let them call it foolish.
Let them call it intolerant.
Let them call it outdated.
I call it grace.
I call it truth.
I call it eternal life.
So with everything in me, by the Spirit who strengthens me, I will lift high the name of Jesus.
Because loving Him is not weakness—it is the only strength that endures.
And being unashamed of Him is not pride—it is the highest honor a soul can know.
I will not flinch.
I will not bend.
I will not be silent.
I am not, and never will be, ashamed of loving Jesus.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”
—Romans 1:16
