Zechariah 13:8-9 talks about the LAND, that two thirds are cut off and perish, one third are left to stay in it. What follows is my assessment of who is cut off and who survives. If you have a different opinion, tell me in the Chat.

The Zechariah passage is unambiguous, some live, some die. There can be little doubt that the one third are true Judahites, the same people Paul writes about in 2 Corinthians 3:12-16, whose minds are hardened, the veil of deception still unlifted at the reading of Moses. During the Great Tribulation that veil gets lifted, most likely when they are being tortured by the locusts of Revelation 9. Zechariah 13:9 supports this interpretation, "And I will bring the third part through the fire, refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are My people,' and they will say, 'Yahuah is my Elohiym.'" This is further supported by Zechariah 12:10-14, "... so that they will look upon Me whom they have pierced; and will mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son ..."

We know from Revelation 18:4 that there are true Judahites living in Israel today, "Come out of her, My people, that you not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues, for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and Yahuah has remembered her iniquities." The current estimate is that there are 30,000 Messianic Jews in Israel.

The breakdown of Jews in Israel today:
• 7.8 million total
• 0.9 million Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox)
• 1.0 million Dati (religious, Modern Orthodox)
• 2.8 million Masorti (traditional, less religious)
• 3.1 million Hiloni (secular)
The Haredi, Dati and Masorti, are either directly or indirectly linked to the Temple Institute and the reinstatement of animal sacrifices. The latter two are directly linked, preparing everything including the training of the priests who will be doing the sacrifices, the Haredi's indirectly through the interpretation of scripture and what is expected.

History and the Bible itself tells us that not all claiming to be Judahites are in fact Judahites.
• In 125 BC the Edomites were forced to convert under John Hyrcanus. By the close of the Bar Kokhba Revolt of 132-136 AD, the Edomites were fully absorbed into the Judahites and vanished from history when Emperor Hadrian deported all Jews from Judaea.
• The Edomites recovered in 740 AD following the conversion of the Khazars to Judaism.
• Revelation 2:9 and 3:9 talks about those who claim to be Judahites, but are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

So here is my assumption regarding the breakdown of the current occupants of the piece of dirt called Israel, to meet the requirements of two thirds who are cut off and perish:
• One third are true Judahites
• One third are Edomites
• One third are Khazars

There is zero chance that the Haredi's will budge from their position despite the seal/trumpet/plague judgments raining down on them. Similarly, it is highly unlikely that the Dati and Masorti will budge considering all the time and effort they put in preparing for the reinstatement of animal sacrifices.
• The Edomites are 100% cut off (Obadiah 1:18, there will be no survivor of the House of Esau)
• The Khazars are 100% cut off (they converted to Judaism and joined the Edomites in their quest to genocide all Whites)
• Meaning that the balance of the one third Judahites who live (along with the 30,000 Messianic Jews) will come from the Hiloni (secular) Jews.

The two thirds who are cut off and perish:
• 0.9 million Haredi's
• 1.0 million Dati's
• 2.8 million Masorti's
• 0.5 million Hiloni's (this is the balancing figure to get to the two thirds cut off)
• 5.2 million, the total who die
• 2.6 million true Judahites (This number has my head spinning. For the life of me, I cannot believe that there are this many Judahites in Israel, yet scripture says so in a number of places)
• 7.8 million current population of Israel
Isaiah 66:3-6 seems to confirm that those busy with animal sacrifices are cut off and perish.
