The main advice for the clean footworks: try to focus not only on what you are doing, but also on what you are not doing! I mean “PAUSES” are not less important than movements. When you try to work on musicality during your footworks, pay your attention on stopping. Sometimes footwork looks chaotic and messy, there is a feeling of dance “on hot coals”. It’s not so simple, it takes the control of your body and legs, the sense of rhythm and so on and so forth, but if you can “hold the pause”, you can dance any footwork musically!
