Portless gives each local app a simple name like https://myapp.localhost instead of a hard-to-remember port number. It starts your dev server through a proxy, turns on HTTPS by default, and can handle monorepos, worktrees, LAN sharing, and public sharing with Tailscale or ngrok. This makes local development easier because URLs stay stable, safer because HTTPS works automatically, and faster because you do less setup and avoid port conflicts.
