I just removed OG and Intern roles from 30+ members in Moni Discord

Here's why, and what's changing.
We've survived a few cycles now. Not by sitting back, but by taking action when it mattered. That's the whole reason we're still here.

I think the next 1.5-2 years are going to be huge for crypto. A lot of opportunity is coming. We want the people in this community to be the ones who are active and ready to grab that opportunity with us, not just watching from the sidelines. If you put in the work, this should be a win-win for both of us.

The 30+ removals were people who weren't active, weren't contributing, weren't around anymore. Not a punishment, just making sure these roles actually mean something and go to people who are genuinely with us.

OGs
We trimmed this down. OG now belongs to the people who were with us at the very start, back when Moni was small and unproven, and who showed up for us 4 years ago. Not many of you. But we remember every single one, and this role is yours for good.

OG also comes with something concrete now: it unlocks Alpha access when you're using the product.

Interns
Intern now means more than it used to. It sits somewhere between Free and Pro. Early access to projects, private community chats, and features of the Moni platform. But we're going to run this tighter. We're reviewing who holds this role every two weeks.

If you have it, here's what we expect from you: be active. Bring alpha, bring info, contribute something back to the community. Support us on socials and stay consistent about it. This role is for people pulling weight, not just holding a badge.

Moni AI and the API are now built into your plan.

* AI features and API access come with whatever plan you're on.

3. FOMO Trading, Fully Integrated
Trading is now fully built into the Fomo terminal, covering both Ethereum and Solana.

4. Bug Fixes and Under-the-Hood Improvements
* Fixed a display glitch with the extension on Axiom (Ethereum).
* Sorted out issues in the Trending module (GMGN / Solana).
* Fixed bugs causing the side panel to act up or crash.
* Transactions now run more reliably across supported networks.
* Plus a bunch of other fixes to make the whole platform feel more solid.

Moni Smart tags are cool...but

We had a rule, that you could only get a tag (founder, VC, influencer, whatever) if you also had a smart tag
which meant most of crypto twitter just... had nothing. no label, no context, nothing.

We fixed that, tags are their own thing now. Doesn't matter if you're smart or not, you can get tagged.

Good tags, bad tags too. Scammers get flagged easier now. Builders get recognized. The graph just got a lot bigger.

X integration:

We've been waiting to ship this one for a while. Today's the day. Moni TG Bot now runs on Ethereum too.
Any Ethereum token, any contract, same bot you already use on Solana. Open Telegram, paste a contract and trade in a couple of taps, done. Same bot, same speed, now on a second chain.

For a lot of you this has been the most asked-for thing in our DMs for months. Memes and alpha don't live on one chain anymore, and your trading setup shouldn't either. So now it doesn't have to.

A quick note on the rollout. Ethereum is also coming to the Moni Extension. The build is done on our end and the new version is sitting in Chrome Web Store review right now. As soon as Google clears it, it rolls out automatically to everyone who has the Extension installed. The timing on that is on them, not us. If you want Ethereum support today, the TG Bot is where to be.

For eight years Moni Team been doing research without ever calling it research. Someone on the team would find something like a project nobody was looking at yet, a farm, an airdrop actually worth doing and we'd write it up and send it out. Sometimes a thread, sometimes a long breakdown, sometimes just a "hey, look at this." Whatever the format, the idea was the same: get it to you while it still matters.

So it was never just "be early." It's anything that gives you an edge — rewards, an opportunity, a reason to make a trade.

Here's the part that matters though: we're not writing about this space from the outside. Moni builds tools people use every day: a discovery engine, a trading extension, a Telegram bot, a data API. The research comes out of that same work. We're already looking at this data and answering these questions for ourselves and our users. We just write some of it down. Research without skin in the game is commentary, and we've never been interested in commentary.

The work was always there. We just never put it in one place. So that's what we're doing now, and calling it what it is. Moni Research. We post when there's something worth saying, and not otherwise.

Honestly, part of why this is happening now: I was at EthCC in Cannes recently and spent it talking to people who do this seriously — OAK Research, Witcheer, and got long conversations in the past with folks from Delphi, Castle Labs, Hazeflow, Shoal Research, Alea Research. Watching how much they care about the work kind of lit a fire under me. We've been doing this for years, we're good at it, and we still hadn't put a name on it. These guys were a big part of the inspiration push to finally fix that.

And I keep coming back to a call I had with Anil, Delphi's founder, a couple years ago. He told me something I never forgot, that building a research product in crypto is noble work, but mostly thankless, and you have to actually love it to do it. He was right. And looking at the fact that we've been doing this for eight years anyway, with no name on it and no one making us — yeah. We clearly love it.

LEGION x MONI Partnership

We discovered Legion in 2022 and then researched deeply ~2,5 years ago and thought: these guys will own the ICO meta.

If you break trading down into its core components, the process is almost always the same: information discovery → interpretation → execution. The issue is that these stages are usually spread across multiple tools. This creates unnecessary friction: delays appear between signal and action, and every context switch costs attention and, ultimately, money.

Over time, this is not always obvious, but this is exactly where efficiency is most often lost.

A logical solution is to reduce the number of intermediate steps and consolidate critical functions into a single environment. This is the direction Moni Extension is evolving toward.

The latest updates are not just a redesign. In essence, the product has shifted from a pure analytics and tracking tool into a fully executable environment. The interface is simpler, key actions are faster, and the added trading layer closes the final step of execution. Now the cycle of find → evaluate → act happens within one place.

At the moment, we are still in Beta, which typically means lower user saturation and minimal competition within the system. This creates a comfortable environment to explore the product, understand how it fits your workflow, and, if you choose, invite others from your network. Why Moni, not Printer?

As you may know, we were thinking about releasing our own Onchain Trading Terminal with a distinct brand and name – Printer.
We considered a full rebrand for this product. But honestly you already know Moni. There's already some love there. Starting from zero with new branding, building that recognition again... doesn't make sense right now. We'd rather put that energy into actually building.

So Moni branding stays. You saw I changed the name of the chat, right? What's inside changes completely.

Why Moni extension first?

We're not gonna ask you to switch to another terminal. Learn another interface. Change how you trade.
Nah.

We're just gonna show up where you already are and make it better.
Same platforms. Same workflows. But now you've got Moni running underneath: Smart Mentions, Mindshare, Smart Followers, plus new onchain stuff like Smart Wallets, tags, labels. All the context you need to make faster, better calls.

Think of it as a cheat code, your AI companion. You keep trading where you trade, we just give you the edge.
