Former Shin Bet chief, Ronen Bar, intends to file a defamation lawsuit against Benjamin Netanyahu and demands the disclosure of evidence and documents related to information provided to the Prime Minister before October 7th.

Bar demands the disclosure of documents and a schedule of Netanyahu's meetings with the security establishment and foreign entities.

He will summon witnesses from Netanyahu's office and staff who have assisted and continue to assist him in his manipulative campaign.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has launched an unrestrained and unrealistic incitement campaign against the former head of the Shin Bet. After refusing for three years to acknowledge his responsibility and preventing the public from having a state inquiry in every way, he began selectively publishing documents in a manipulative manner, distorting their true context. Now, as evidence of warnings he received before the massacre begins to emerge, he is trying to deflect blame by accusing those who warned him in real-time.

It is not surprising that, as will soon be revealed, in his role as head of the Shin Bet, Bar warned the Prime Minister of an impending disaster in an unprecedented manner, and that the Prime Minister ignored these warnings, as well as the recommendations to restore deterrence and strengthen the border.

Until now, Ronen Bar believed that it was right to wait for the establishment of the committee that the public and the families of the victims are entitled to. However, it is not possible to allow this series of lies to continue.

Lies, distortion of facts, manipulation of protocols, and the dissemination of misleading information to the public – this is what the Prime Minister is doing as the extent of the warnings he received before the October 7th massacre begins to emerge.

Therefore, the former head of the Shin Bet has instructed his lawyers to file a defamation lawsuit against the Prime Minister and to summon as witnesses anyone who has distorted, falsified documents, and disseminated false and defamatory information against him.

Ronen Bar calls on the Prime Minister to immediately disclose all documents, so that the public can be exposed to the full truth, without manipulation.

A defamation lawsuit and the subsequent exposure of the truth are important to protect the memory of the fallen, the honor of the Shin Bet personnel who have been working in the shadows for three years, and the truth, which the Prime Minister is trying to distort through an incitement campaign against the heads of the security establishment.

Victories are achieved by proactively attacking the enemy outside, not by attacking the security forces within.
