❗️🇩🇪 - The German ruling coalition CDU-SPD was dealt a string of major defeats in the state elections of Saxony-Anhalt, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Berlin.
The 'far-right', Russia-friendly party AfD made sizable gains in its strongholds in eastern Germany. In the urban state of Berlin, the 'radical left' party Die Linke became the largest party, surpassing CDU while AfD galloped from 5th place to 3rd place.
