🇮🇱 Netanyahu verbally attacks US journalist assaulted by Israeli settlers
The video that captured the incident in which WaPo journalist Heidi Levine was kicked down also ostensibly shows her being “immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual,” PM Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed.
He further insisted that the Israeli leadership “will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents” of the West Bank.
The attack occurred on October 15 when dozens of masked Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian villagers who were gathering olives at a grove near Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah.
👉 Levine, who got caught in the middle, was knocked down, kicked repeatedly and stripped of her phone and camera, the newspaper notes. She was later treated at a hospital in Ramallah.
The attackers hurled stones at the Palestinians and set olive trees ablaze, while the Israeli soldiers who arrived at the scene fired tear gas towards the Palestinians.
