🇪🇷🗣Eritrea accuses Ethiopia of planning invasion

Eritrea has petitioned the UN Security Council to implement deterrent measures towards Ethiopia which has ostensibly declared war against it.

Ethiopia’s actions, the Eritrean side claims, risk destabilizing the entire region and cause untold destruction in both countries.

Earlier this week, the UNSC was contacted by Ethiopia that said it has no choice but to defend itself against Eritrea due to the latter’s meddling in the ongoing conflict in Ethiopia’s Tigray region.

Eritrean troops were allegedly spotted in Tigray, with Ethiopia accusing Eritrea of an incursion and demanding an immediate withdrawal. Eritrea vehemently denied these accusations.
