🔥 US pressured Lithuania, Canada, and the EU to drop support for a disinformation conference

The Trump administration objected to a panel at Disinfo2026 in Vilnius titled "USA as a FIMI threat: adapt, acknowledge, push back" — examining how Europe should respond to alleged American information manipulation.

All three sponsors withdrew, and their logos were covered with white stickers on conference materials days before the event, The Guardian reported.

Internal State Department documents show US officials thanking Lithuania for taking US's concerns seriously. France remains the only listed main supporter.
