“The Armed Forces maintain full control over all their battlefield gains. What the enemy promotes as victories is nothing but imaginary heroics intended to please its masters, just like its malicious tactics, which our people are well aware of, whether along the western coast or in other areas,” Houthi-aligned Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Saree has said.
Saree’s comments follow the Saudi-aligned Aden government’s claims Monday that its forces had successfully executed a counteroffensive in areas recently won by the Houthis, including Bab al-Mandab and Mocha, as part of Operation “Dawn of Yemen.”
Saree reported that over 200 enemy troops had been killed or wounded in strikes on enemy positions in the areas of Ras al-Arah and al-Saqiya in southwestern Yemen, and that the Armed Forces were carrying out attacks in al-Jawf and Marib provinces, killing scores of mercenaries and destroying multiple vehicles.
💬Mercenary forces’ attempts to infiltrate Bab al-Mandab were met with a “decisive response” and “strong defense” and were supressed, and enemies were forced to retreat without achieving any battlefield success, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s inability to change the military equation in strategic areas on the battlefield, the spokesman said.
“We renew our warning to all international airlines against continuing to make flights in Saudi airspace, as it has become a theater for our military operations, excepting the airspace over the holy areas of Mecca and Medina,” Saree said.
