🔥 UAE's Bu Hasa oil complex engulfed in flames

The Bu Hasa oil complex in the UAE, operated by ADNOC and one of the country's largest onshore oil and gas fields, has been engulfed in flames southwest of Abu Dhabi.

Sentinel-3 imagery shows a black smoke plume roughly 50 km long over the site. NASA FIRMS recorded a fire radiative power of 100+ megawatts. Several sattelite fottage showed visible damage to a storage tank — potential LNG storage.

Bu Hasa crude feeds the Habshan-Fujairah pipeline — the UAE's only export route that bypasses the Strait of Hormuz.

The cause hasn't been confirmed. But the UAE's only route around Hormuz is now on fire — and there is no third option.
