❤️🇮🇷 Epstein coalition’s new Iran strike plans will torch the world economy – and themselves

The US and Israel are plotting “what would be one of the harshest bombing campaigns to date” against Iranian energy infrastructure, sources have told CBS News.

A senior Iranian security official told Tasnim such an attack would constitute “an act of madness,” and trigger a “broad response plan that includes strikes against the Zionist regime’s critical infrastructure and US energy infrastructure in the region.”

Let’s crunch the numbers on the fallout:

🔴 Iran accounts for ~4% of global oil production - 3.5-4.2M bpd – selling most of its exports to China, reducing Beijing’s demand for crude from other sellers and regions.

🔴 With Hormuz closed and the Houthis blockading Saudi exports through the Red Sea, a quarter or more of global crude output is at risk of permanent disruption.

🔴 If the US and Israel start targeting Iranian energy infrastructure, Tehran’s counterstrikes may decimate the oil and gas processing plants, refineries and pipelines of US-allied Gulf nations.

🔴 Repairs to these facilities would take weeks (pipelines), months (upstream reservoirs, port and shipping logistics) or years (LNG liquefaction facilities using highly specialized, complex and expensive components), depending on the intensity of strikes.

🔴 Up to now, China has largely prevented the world economy from plunging off a cliff by significantly curbing its oil imports (from 12.4M bpd in February to 7.8M bpd in July) and turning to its massive reserves (up to 1.4b barrels). If the Iran crisis festers for years, China would be forced to return to energy markets with a vengeance, scooping up shrinking supplies and pushing prices through the roof. Higher prices for energy mean higher prices for virtually everything else, from transportation to fertilizers to food, construction materials and consumer goods.

🔴 In the meantime, Iran could also go after Israel’s highly vulnerable energy grid, with strikes on the Leviathan, Karish and Tamar gas rigs and pinpoint targeting of the Bizan mega-refinery in Haifa Bay enough to paralyze 70% or more of the country’s electricity production, and over half of fresh water processing.

🔴 Iran’s deterrent is not capable of tit-for-tat strikes on high-value energy targets on the US mainland. But it doesn’t have to. Since US oil producers set prices using international benchmarks, they’re willing to freely export energy even if that means spiking costs and out of control inflation at home.
