This was the primeval beginning, before any torch had burned, when the windless mist smothered the skies,
When the oneness of the frozen expanse had not yet welcomed the dawn, indeed, when morning seemed a thousand years away still.
Ideals became the flint stones that ignited frigid nights, and order gave sublime passions the seat of honor,
And people yearned for a new war, to vanquish the blizzard of injustice with love.
And so, a nameless one forged with their hands a torch that could reach the pale star, dedicating it to an unseen tomorrow.
And so, a nameless one did write poems about the wondrous vistas of rising flames, likening them to the stars that hang high in the heavens,
And spellbound by the vision narrated by a nameless commander, the people believed that a will that transcended the laws would birth a miracle:
"There can be no battle without sacrifice in this world. Let us dedicate ourselves to the victory of love! Let our name ring eternal."
The miracle born of passion was unbound by the rules, and the ever-burning flame gave rise to disaster from error,
And the item negligently left within the kristall mine caused the sound of cracking ice to ring out within the highest torch.
The nameless ones had yet to know fear, and they were willing to venture forth into the scorched earth for the glory of the tundra.
The nameless commander knew that panic cast a shadow greater than calamity, and after much consideration, left the unknown peril unmentioned,
And let the people's hearts be gladdened as they saw them off on the path with no return, crowning their sacrificial courage with laurels woven from their exclamations:
"There can be no battle without sacrifice in this world. Let us dedicate ourselves to the victory of love... and may your names ring eternal."
And so, the nameless ones were buried under nameless headstones, and unnamed deeds became unnamed glories.
The ceaseless incineration ended with sacrifice, the nameless victory was exchanged for a golden medal, and the nameless commander shot up the ranks.
Thus, she came to be remembered, and she wielded the authority to control energy, enabling the Commission to operate under established principles,
And she would never be forgotten, along with the teachings penned by nameless sacrifices and the rules of the past established for her.
Later generations regarded these principles as edicts, for they shone forth eternally like starlight guiding the torch-fires, sustaining the frozen earth,
Breathing life back into the ice-sealed tundra, so that the charred earth should no longer have to hear the lamentations of the nameless.
Yet, in the commander's dreams, she would never forget that the miracles the earth had received were never once granted by the false skies,
And that poems only used the dawnstar as a metaphor for glory, while the nameless ones who had offered themselves up to the cold night would never have their names inscribed.
