The Russian Ministry of Finance expressed support for India's proposal to broaden cooperation in the insurance sector and create a dedicated forum for pension system regulators across the BRICS countries. This was announced by Russian Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov.
"We support such socially oriented initiatives and are ready to share our national experience in developing a voluntary retirement pay mechanism, which was implemented through the Long‑Term Savings Programme," Chebeskov stated.
Under India's Chairship in #BRICS, plans include continuing efforts to strengthen tax and customs cooperation, boost investment in infrastructure, establish a new investment platform, and develop a multilateral guarantee mechanism. Meeting participants also reaffirmed their commitment to coordinating positions on reforming the governance of international financial institutions and advancing global economic development.
