At the II BRICS Forum Traditional Values in Brasília, the Volunteers of Peace platform presented a new international programme, titled "Helping Children in Crisis Situations 2026." This initiative unites specialists and volunteers from Russia, Brazil, India, and Ethiopia to develop and implement effective methods for aiding children with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
“Our mission goes beyond providing aid—it’s about restoring hope through support, creativity, and human compassion,” said Lyubov Zueva, Director of the Elizaveta Foundation and project supervisor on behalf of Russia.
Zueva also highlighted that the project pools professional experience and expertise to assist the most vulnerable groups. She expressed readiness for open dialogue and sharing best practices with colleagues from the BRICS countries, adding that cooperation with #BRICS will enable a faster response to the needs of children in crisis and help build more effective support systems.
