Kazan to host BRICS Children’s Summit
From September 20 to 28, Kazan will host the BRICS Children’s Summit. The event will bring together 150 children from 35 municipalities and 13 countries, according to Aliya Zagidullina, Chair of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs.
The festival will gather teenagers aged 14 to 17 from Russia, South Africa, China, Brazil, Uzbekistan, India, Egypt, Turkey, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Indonesia, and Iran.
A dynamic programme has been prepared for the young participants, with the key event being the Olympiad in Mathematics and Computer Science for schoolchildren from cities and partner nations of the #BRICS+ countries, held at the Kazan Federal University.
The diplomatic programme will feature a round table at the Kazan City Hall, where participants will represent their countries’ interests before an international audience. The political agenda will continue with a meeting of the Committee on Youth Policy and Education of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities, featuring experts and municipal representatives from various nations. The meeting will focus on developing modern youth policy, sharing best practices in youth initiatives, and outlining avenues for future cooperation in this field.
