💸 How SCUM Token Creators Make Money 💸
🥵 If you haven't encountered scam contracts, then you haven't really been trading tokens. It's normal to invest in a token with the hope of its value rising, only for it to turn into a scam after a while, leaving you with nothing.
⚡️ To avoid falling victim to a scam, pay attention to the following:
🔴 Tax
🔴 Wallet
🔴 Blacklist
🔴 Not Sell
🔴 Tax – As I mentioned earlier, the timing is crucial. After a token's launch, it's essential for taxes to decrease. If they remain unchanged or increase, it's a bad sign.
Some scams have extremely high sales taxes, like "honey" tokens, where the selling tax is 90-99%, effectively leaving you with nothing.
Then there are "Tax Farm" tokens, where taxes don't decrease but rather go up over an extended period.
Sometimes, the dev even plays games with snipers, raising and lowering the tax rate. Ultimately, they may set the tax at 99% for sales. In this case, consider your investment gone if you bought such a token.
🔴 Wallet – It's crucial to keep an eye on who's buying the token.
There are instances where certain wallets acquire tokens essentially for "free."
These wallets are easy to spot on Zerion because they have a high volume of token acquisition transactions but no outgoing ETH transactions. In many cases, these wallets don't hold any ETH.
🔴 Blacklist – A function in the contract that can restrict specific wallets from selling the token. This can occur in both good and bad tokens, but it's more common in scams.
After you buy the token, your wallet is added to a blacklist, and you're unable to sell. This restriction is often encountered in tokens that exhibit consistent growth. It's tied to the wallet section; fake wallets buy, and you see the price rise.
You jump in, but when you decide to sell at your desired point, the contract doesn't work, preventing you from selling. Meanwhile, wallets on the developer's whitelist can sell, but you can't.
🔴 Not Sell – A token that experiences rapid and substantial price growth in the first 2-5 minutes of trading with no sales may indicate high taxes, blacklisting, or restrictions on selling in the contract.
This is particularly common when there are snipers who buy in the first block/minute.
💡 How to keep track of everything?
Indeed, it's a challenging task to monitor all this while ensuring you don't miss a token's price rise.
Fortunately, you have us and our software, which can differentiate between scams during token selection.
Our product has an extremely low risk of encountering scams: around 1% for signals on the 20-minute mark and 5% for signals on the 5-minute mark. Pretty cool, right?
