🚀 Review of GeckoTerminal and DEFINED: Cryptocurrency Analysis Tools
Continuing to explore interesting cryptocurrency screeners, this time we'll look at the lesser-known GeckoTerminal and Defined.
As you may have noticed, we don't conduct in-depth analyses of features but rather share our experience using such services. This provides an understanding of which ones are worth using and which ones are not.
🍀 GeckoTerminal – hailing from CoinGecko, it's like a minimalistic version of CoinMarketCap.
Upon visiting the website, it becomes apparent that not much effort has gone into the screener.
The site is rather lackluster, with minimal features, and it's far from being the screener of your dreams.
However, if it didn't have its advantages, it wouldn't be featured in this review and would have likely closed down long ago.
It receives around 4.5 million visitors monthly.
One notable feature is the option to choose your preferred language, which can be a significant convenience for many users. I recommend using English for easier communication and interaction with international traders, as well as for better understanding of abbreviations and concepts in this field.
But for some, English might be a barrier, and GeckoTerminal can help in this regard.
The chart and transaction terminal resemble DexScreener, but here you have additional contract and creator's wallet analysis.
It draws data from GOPLUS and DE.FI.
However, relying solely on their data is not advisable; a combination of information is the key to profit.
🌟 In summary, our subjective assessment of GeckoTerminal is 4 out of 10.
🍀 Defined – a modern, stylish, trendy, and youth-oriented screener.
It immediately appeals to aesthetically inclined users, and even those who are not aesthetically inclined.
The site is not as popular as its predecessors, with only 500,000 monthly visits.
But that doesn't mean it's not valuable or user-friendly; it's simply different from the others, and that's its main advantage.
Let's move on to the dashboard, which contains only what's necessary: a chart and a terminal with many analytical tools.
The terminal itself has a fantastic feature for tracking sandwich bots, represented by two buns with "meat" in between. Hovering over the "meat" (poor buyers) allows you to see how much they've lost in tokens and ETH.
The chart here is of high quality and accuracy, on par with DexScreener, perhaps even slightly better.
Additionally, you can track volume surges, transactions, new buyers, and sellers.
Wallet statistics for different periods (5 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, etc.) are presented in a clear and user-friendly format by aggregating the necessary data.
By the way, all the buttons are conveniently located on the panel, including contract and pair options, making everything accessible.
You can also quickly switch between the watchlist and the top list.
🌟 In summary, our subjective assessment of Defined is 9 out of 10.
