▫️Why games?
I started my career in a user acquisition agency helping game studios acquire paying players. Over five years, I built a strong network across the industry, which eventually led me to join one of those studios — Playkot, where I worked in business development, platform partnerships, game licensing in China, and other strategic initiatives.
What keeps me in games is the people. This industry attracts incredibly creative and talented professionals, and I genuinely believe that meaningful partnerships are built by smart people who enjoy creating things together.
One thing I've always appreciated about games is that I've rarely felt limited because I'm a woman. That doesn't mean everything is perfect, but compared to many other industries, there are fewer barriers — and when there are fewer barriers, it's much easier for the community to solve the ones that remain.
▫️Building CYGMA
Alongside my work at Devtodev, I'm helping build CYGMA (Cyprus Game Makers Association). Our ambition is simple but bold: to help make Cyprus the best place in the world to create games by bringing studios, partners, and the wider ecosystem closer together.
A principle I try to follow is surprisingly simple: treat others the way you want to be treated, no matter what. It has served me well in both business and life.
Outside of work, you'll find me either on stage with one of my rock bands or on a bicycle. Last year I played six concerts across Cyprus and rode more than 5,000 kilometers during the cycling season.
▫️If your career were a game genre, what would it be and why?
If my career were a game genre, it would be co-op. I genuinely enjoy working with other people and believe the best results come from teams where everyone contributes their strengths. Success is much more rewarding when it’s shared.
▫️What is your superpower?
My superpower is energy. I naturally have a lot of it, and it helps me balance work, relationships, music, sports, and travel without feeling like I have to choose just one. And yes, every now and then, I even manage to get some sleep 😊.
