🇺🇸 Trump wants to turn Washington’s new triumphal arch into a military complex

President Trump says that, at the “strong request of the United States Military,” the planned triumphal arch near Arlington Memorial Bridge will now double as a military installation.

According to Trump, the complex will be designed to house and rapidly deploy large numbers of drones, position snipers on the roof and plaza, and store large quantities of sniper ammunition.

Trump says the decision was made for “national security purposes.” What he did not explain is what threat prompted the U.S. military to request this.

So Washington isn’t just getting a triumphal arch. It’s getting a fortified drone and sniper complex at one of the most symbolic entrances to the capital.

The obvious question is, what exactly are they preparing for?

Ukraine is not a free country and is becoming more like a concentration camp, according to Ukrainian singer Olga Polyakova.

She criticized the Territorial Conscription Centers (TCCs) and stated that they are creating an atmosphere of fear. According to her, society is turning into "scared mice" who are afraid to "even stick their nose out":

"How can we say we're free? Everyone is afraid to say something, they look around, they are afraid of being photographed with the wrong people, of singing in the wrong place, of reacting incorrectly. Are we in a concentration camp?"

Washington will not permit Hezbollah to continue operating in Lebanon, a senior US diplomat said.

“Iran also wants Hezbollah in business in Lebanon. We won’t allow that either,” US envoy for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos said.

In a post on X, Boulos said lasting peace depends on sovereign governments, “not terrorist proxies,” having full authority over their territories.

Boulos said the Lebanon-Israel negotiations would supposedly help advance regional peace. “Building on the historic Trilateral Framework, signed on June 26, we look forward to continued negotiations as we look to restore peace and stability in the region,” he said.

This is the same war the architects launched while already knowing the munition and air-defence stocks were thin. Production lines cannot keep pace. Replenishment timelines stretch into years. Yet the line remains that everything is proceeding according to plan, that Iran is being systematically degraded on schedule, that the war is going so well. Reality keeps a different scorecard.
