The end of the work week brings a wave of major announcements:
➡️ The first DLC in nearly 25 years has been released for Diablo II — titled Reign of the Warlock. More precisely, it’s for the note-worthy remaster Diablo II: Resurrected. The expansion introduces the eighth playable class — the Warlock — who can summon imps, bind demons, or consume them to temporarily gain their powers. The DLC also includes many other additions to the classic action RPG. The expansion is already available on PC and consoles, and the base game is now also available on Steam.
➡️ Legendary games by Hideo Kojima are coming to PC after nearly 20 years — ports of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker have been announced. The new remaster collection will include three titles. The centerpiece is Metal Gear Solid 4, which has remained a PlayStation 3 exclusive since its 2008 release. Players will also receive the originally portable titles Peace Walker and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel.
➡️ God of War will receive a remake collection covering all three original entries. No release date was announced during the presentation.
➡️ A full-scale video game based on Baba Yaga — titled John Wick — has been announced. The game is being developed by Saber Interactive, but no release window yet.
➡️ The debut trailer for Silent Hill: Townfall has been released. It’s a first-person horror experience featuring a protagonist named Simon. More details will be revealed in spring.
Other noteworthy announcements:
🟢 Ember Lab revealed a sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits — titled Kena: Scars of Kosmora.
🟢 The colorful platformer Neva will receive a prequel expansion called Prologue, launching February 19.
🟢 The creators of Dead Cells are collaborating with Konami on a new Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse title.
🟢 An open beta for Marathon will run from February 26 to March 2.
