The process, I think, is the most beautiful part of anything. Depending on who you are, what you see, and what you feel, the process is where you grow, where you learn. It can be a form of guidance, showing you where you need to go, where you truly belong. It all depends on how you take in the information life gives you.
This morning, like always, I woke up with a million thoughts running through my mind. To quiet them, I decided to watch a random YouTube video—just something to distract myself. And ironically, the video that popped up was one I’ve watched every year for the past three years. The first time I watched it, it was purely out of admiration for the artist, one of my favorites. The second time, something about it didn’t fully make sense to me, but I felt drawn to it anyway. And now, in my current headspace, full of restless thoughts and emotions, this same video appeared again.
But this time was different. I didn’t finish it like I normally do. I stopped at a specific point because something caught my attention. In the video, they mentioned a book, one that was pivotal to the artist’s career, something that shaped everything he became. They referenced a certain page, but it wasn’t that page that pulled me in. It was another one I happened to see, and something about it made me stop and think: Wait… what?
I downloaded the book immediately. (I thought about buying it, but I feel like I’ll eventually run into a book that’s meant for me.) I needed to understand why this kept happening, why I kept being led to certain things without knowing why. And even in the book, there was a name. A name that made no sense. I Googled it, nothing. I asked ChatGPT what it meant, hoping for some clarity. But ChatGPT responded with something like, This isn’t a common word. Maybe it’s slang. What’s the context?
And at that moment, it hit me.
That’s exactly why it’s perfect. It doesn’t need an explanation. I don’t need to understand it. I just feel it. I just know it.
I can’t explain it, and I don’t know why I’m drawn to it, but that’s what makes it so significant. Maybe later in life, it’ll all make sense. Maybe when the stars finally align, leading me to the moon and back. Or maybe beyond. But for now, I just have to trust the process.
Whatever you feel, whatever you’re drawn to, whether it’s an idea, a place, a person, a symbol you keep seeing but don’t understand, there’s a reason for it. You may not know what it is yet, but it’s there. It’s part of something bigger. Maybe it’s guiding you. Maybe it’s shaping you. Maybe it’s the start of something that will define your future in ways you can’t even imagine right now.
There are so many questions, so many whys, hows, and whens. But that’s the beauty of it. The not knowing. The unfolding. The trusting.
And just to be clear, this isn’t about being uncertain about what you want in life. What you want should be clear. But along the way, there will be certain things, people, and places, big or small, that play a role in getting you there. They’re the missing pieces. The parts you don’t even realize you need until they fall into place.
That’s why you trust the process. Because even when you don’t understand it, it’s leading you exactly where you’re meant to be.
