💎 Renaming TON's Native Token to Gram

As you might have already heard, Pavel Durov announced that the native token of the TON network is reclaiming its original name and will henceforth be known as GRAM.

In his message, Pavel pointed out that Gram was the original name of this currency in the project's very first whitepaper. He considers this a return to their roots and the beginning of a new chapter that will pave the way for what comes next. According to him, this transition process will take about 3 weeks and represents step 4 of 7 in their plan for TON's future.

Below, we review the answers to the most frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding this change:
🔹 Will the network's name change too?
No. The blockchain and ecosystem will continue to be called TON (The Open Network). Gram is simply the new name for the network's native token.
🔹 Do we need to swap or convert our tokens?
Absolutely not. There is no need for any swaps, bridges, migrations, or claiming new tokens.
🔹 What happens to our wallet balances?
Your balance remains completely untouched. 10 TON before the name change is exactly the same as 10 GRAM after the name change.
🔹 Will exchanges and DeFi platforms be affected?
No. Centralized exchanges (CEX) will update the displayed name and ticker automatically according to their own schedules. Smart contracts, staking positions, liquidity pools, NFTs, and lending protocols will all work exactly as before, with the token simply displayed as GRAM from now on.
🔹 What about network fees (gas)?
Gas fees will still be paid using the network's native token—it will just be displayed as GRAM instead of TON.
