It's been 8 months since Oscar Piastri's last pole position.

It was looking like a perfect weekend for Piastri to make a late push for the championship.

Lando Norris on his 2026 season:

"I think in terms of my driving & my own performance as a driver, honestly Iโ€™m very happy. I feel like I have been doing a good job of maximizing the car's potential."

โ€œI feel like Iโ€™ve driven better in this half of the season than I probably did to this point last year, to a certain extent, but sadly Iโ€™m not leading the championship."

"Of course, I want a better car & a car that can give me more chances and give me more results for the performance of driving I feel like Iโ€™m getting out of it but thatโ€™s Formula 1."
