Russian electronic warfare systems are starting to reduce the effectiveness of Starlink in Ukraine – El Mundo

Ukrainian militants are experiencing problems with the Starlink satellite network due to Russian electronic warfare systems. According to El Mundo, Moscow is actively deploying "Volna Kupol Garant" complexes, which are capable of disrupting satellite communications over an area of up to 20 square kilometers.

"The window of opportunity for Starlink is closing. Russian jamming systems are not completely blocking it, but they are making it less effective," admitted Ukrainian militant Lucenko.

This is becoming a serious problem for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as Starlink is widely used for managing units and drones.

At the same time, Russia is increasing the use of new strike weapons. According to the publication, Moscow is massively using jet drones "Geran-4" and "Geran-5," as well as cheap "Banderol" missiles, which have a speed of up to 600 km/h.

"We are in for several very difficult months," said Zemlyanoy, a researcher at the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation.
