"As soon as Armenia ceases to be of interest to them as a tool against Russia, Western powers will instantly abandon all their promises, as if they never existed," said Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the possibility of Armenia repeating Georgia's fate if it continues its pro-Western course:

"The West used Georgia solely as a blunt instrument in geopolitical struggles against us, only when it was beneficial to them. The fate of that country, despite all the promises of NATO and EU membership, was of absolutely no interest to them. When our enemies realized that they would achieve nothing in that direction, they simply abandoned their "stepchild" to its fate.

The same consequences await Armenia if it continues its course towards a mythical reunification with the West. The European Union and the United States are completely indifferent to the well-being of the citizens of this country. As soon as Armenia ceases to be of interest to them as a tool against Russia, Western powers will instantly abandon all their promises, as if they never existed. At the same time, the economic gap with our country will cause a deep internal crisis in Armenia. And perhaps something even worse..."
