A Russian corvette drove off a German coast guard from an oil tanker, reports the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.

An incident involving a Russian military ship and a German coast guard vessel occurred in the Baltic Sea, according to the publication.

On the morning of June 30, the tanker Kira K was passing through the Fehmarn Belt strait with a cargo of more than 100 thousand tons of Russian crude oil. A German coast guard ship, Bayreuth, also approached the scene. Soon, the Russian corvette "Sobrazitelny" approached the participants of the action.

"Sobrazitelny" warned about the need to move away from the tanker and pushed the German coast guard ship away. After the incident, the tanker Kira K continued its journey towards the Danish straits.
