Hegseth fired a general who played an important role in coordinating military aid to Ukraine, reports the Financial Times. The commander of the US Army, General Christopher Donahue, will announce the end of his service on Wednesday.

“Donahue’s dismissal comes as the Pentagon is preparing to downgrade the level of command in Europe, and President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on Europe, demanding that it take greater responsibility for its own defense and the war in Ukraine,” emphasizes the author of the article.
