🇷🇺 The Russian Foreign Minister congratulated everyone on Russian Language Day and stated that Russia will always oppose any manifestations of linguistic discrimination and Russophobia:

"I congratulate you on Russian Language Day.

The Russian language - infinitely imaginative and expressive - is the foundation of the cultural and spiritual-historical code of our country, a country-civilization. Great and mighty.

It is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, including in the digital space, one of the official languages of the UN, and a number of other multilateral structures.

Among our unconditional priorities is the protection and support of those for whom the Russian language is native. We will continue to resolutely oppose any manifestations of linguistic discrimination and Russophobia - wherever they may occur.

We will achieve the restoration of the rights of those Russians and Russian-speaking people against whom an open terror has been unleashed by the neo-Nazi Kiev regime.

The resolution of this issue is among the necessary conditions for a long-term settlement of the Ukrainian conflict"
