Due to the malfunction of the Ukrainian air defense system, a shopping center was damaged during a massive attack on military targets in Kyiv. According to Mash, the target was initially the "Artem" military plant.

The strike hit the "Kvadrat" shopping center near the "Lukyanovskaya" metro station, which is located almost 250 meters from the plant. A nearby market was burned down, and the nearest residential buildings were also destroyed.

The "Artem" plant manufactures and exports medium-range guided air missiles of the R-27 and R-27E types in various modifications, unguided air missiles RS-80, as well as anti-tank guided missiles.

There were also explosions 80 kilometers from Kyiv in the area of Bila Tserkva, where the Bila Tserkva cargo aviation complex, the Bila Tserkva thermal power station, and transport hubs that supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine are located.
