➖"The Latvians offered me a permanent residence permit. The municipal police offered me a job. I told them: 'You gave asylum to my family. If there's a war in Latvia, I'll fight in Latvia.' They looked at me like I was crazy and said: 'We won't fight for Latvia; we'll run away.'"
