It’s not their fault;
The plain truth is, I simply miss the conversation. I miss the time we had, and I miss the person.
But the line has gone dead.
I know it’s for the best to just leave it be. It’s the right thing to do, absolutely.
Still, it’s a heavy business trying to walk forward when you’re carrying the memory of a wavelength that belonged only to the two of you.
