24% of HBO and university graduates in the Netherlands spent part of their studies abroad in 2024/25.

What stood out to us was what students said they gained from it: more independence, better cultural awareness, stronger knowledge in their field, language skills, and different perspectives.

A useful reminder that international experience is not just about being somewhere else. It can change how you learn, work and see things.
