McKinsey's New Global Head
Dear Victor,
As a fellow alum and chair of the Firm’s 2018 Global Managing Partner Election Administration Committee (along with Michael Patsalos-Fox, Adil Zainulbhai, and Georges Desvaux), I am pleased to let you know that Kevin Sneader has been elected by the Senior Partners as the next Global Managing Partner of the Firm, beginning July 1, 2018. He will succeed Dominic Barton, when Dominic’s third term comes to an end.
Kevin is currently McKinsey’s Asia chairman, based in Hong Kong. He is a British citizen and has worked at the Firm for 26 years, joining as a Business Analyst in London in 1989. He was educated at Harvard Business School, where he was both a Baker and a Fulbright Scholar, and at the University of Glasgow. During his time at the Firm, Kevin has lived and worked in Beijing, Paris, and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States, where he was Managing Partner of McKinsey’s Washington DC, New Jersey, and Philadelphia offices. Prior to taking up his Asia regional role in 2014, he served as UK and Ireland Managing Partner. He has worked across a broad range of industries including consumer goods, retail, healthcare, and the public sector.
I know many of you may have worked with Kevin over the years. For those of you who do not know Kevin and would like to learn more about him, a short interview has just been posted on McKinsey.com. You can find it here.
All the best,
Ian Davis
