Houthis Strike Yemen Airport as Saudi Arabia Intercepts Missiles and Drones

Yemen’s Houthis struck Aden airport with two missiles, while Saudi-led forces intercepted drones near Riyadh and missiles over the Red Sea, including one targeting Yanbu. The escalating conflict has threatened key oil-export routes, including the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, pushing Brent crude above $110 a barrel.

The fighting is disrupting Saudi Arabia’s security and business activities, forcing the postponement of major events, including the Six Kings Slam tennis tournament and an EU summit. With attacks targeting airports, oil infrastructure and shipping, the US is also weighing whether to become directly involved in Saudi-backed military operations.
