🫡Today marks 76 years since the illegal invasion of Tibet by PRC forces.


The Sámi can resonate with Tibetans in the experience of cultural and religious replacement endured across generations. However, while the lands of Sápmi have came closer than ever towards full freedom and self-determination, Tibetans continue to struggle for their right to preserve their identity, culture, religion, and homeland in the face of Han colonisation.

May we never forget this act of sacrilegious violence. May we forever honour the Tibetans who fell defending their homeland, and stand in solidarity with those who continue to fight for their freedom today.

May the Ganden Phodrang of Tibet be restored, may the Han colonisation end, and may the yellow sun shine over Tibet with red and blue lights forevermore.
