🧬 Interested in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Research?

I’m building BioBridge — a free international community bringing together students, researchers, and professionals interested in bioengineering and biomedical engineering.

Already, members from multiple countries have joined, and we’re continuing to grow.

Inside BioBridge, we aim to:
• 📚 Discuss research papers
• 💡 Share opportunities and resources
• 🌍 Connect students from around the world
• 🤝 Learn from undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, and professors
• 🎤 Organize future talks and community events

Whether you’re a high school student, university student, researcher, or professor, you’re welcome to join.

If you’re interested, contact me @alikhanmrz and I’ll send you the Discord invitation. 🧬

🏁weighted and unweighted GPA: what’s the difference?

🕐 unweighted gpa

grades are measured on a 4.0 scale:

A = 4.0

B = 3.0

C = 2.0

D = 1.0

F = 0

the difficulty of the course doesn’t matter

for example:
Getting an A in a standard class and an A in an advanced class both count as 4.0.

🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

🕐weighted GPA

weighted GPA takes course difficulty into account. advanced classes may receive extra points.

for example:

A in a regular course = 4.0

A in Honors course = 4.5

A in AP course = 5.0
it doesn’t mean that you have to take up all AP classes you can
admissions want your AP’s to be connected to your major

🏁what if your school doesn’t use GPA?

universities can evaluate:

🕐School transcripts

🕐Predicted grades

🕐National curriculum results

🕐IB, A-Level, GCSE, MYP, or other systems

🌿Minecraft reminder:

Not every day has to be
productive.

Sometimes you gather resources.
Sometimes you build.
Sometimes you just survive the night.

And that’s okay.

Progress isn’t only about moving fast.

It’s about not giving up. ⛏️

🌿 Daily reminder:

Your worth is not your IELTS score.
Not your SAT.
Not your grades.
Not university decisions.

You’re allowed to learn slowly.
Rest.
Change direction.
Start again.

Growth isn’t always visible.

Keep going 💚

Only 9 reactions… but I’d rather share opportunities than wait 😭🌿

You voted for research opportunities, so here’s one:

🚨 Stanford iGEM Bioengineering Research Program (SIBRP)

✅ FREE
✅ Organized by Stanford iGEM students
✅ Virtual
✅ For students interested in medicine, bioengineering, research & STEM

⚠️ Deadline: May 30

🚨 I found a REALLY strong opportunity organized by Stanford students… and the deadline is only a few days away.

For students interested in:
🧬 Medicine
🔬 Research
⚙️ Bioengineering
🌍 STEM

And yes — it’s FREE.

I’ll share the full program + application details if this post reaches:

🔥 25 reactions → I’ll post it
🚀 50 reactions → I’ll also share more opportunities I found while researching

Some deadlines are in 5–10 days, so don’t miss out.

Let’s see how many students here actually want opportunities 👀🌿

📊 Most of you chose Research Opportunities & Business/Economics — so I spent time searching and collecting programs that could actually be useful.

I’ll be honest:
Finding good opportunities isn’t easy, and many strong programs are already closed for this year. 😭

Still, I gathered the best ones I could find — including research programs, internships, summer opportunities, and resources for high school students.

This isn’t a complete list.
I’ll keep updating and sharing more opportunities in the future as I find them. 🌍📚

Hope this helps someone take a real step toward their goals.

FeelEdu 🌿 🔥 Strong profile ≠ doing everything. A big mistake many students make while preparing for Ivy League universities: they join everything without a clear direction. High IELTS? Great. Strong SAT? Also important. But universities don’t just look at scores.…
🎯 Most students are building weak university applications without realizing it.

They focus only on:
IELTS ✔️
SAT ✔️
Grades ✔️

But Ivy League universities look for something deeper:
🧠 direction
🌍 initiative
📈 impact
✨ real passion

And the biggest mistake?

Doing random extracurriculars that don’t connect to your future goals.

So we made something that can genuinely help students build a stronger profile — especially for those aiming for top universities abroad.

📘 New FeelEdu Guide:
“How to Build a Strong Extracurricular Profile for Ivy League Universities”

Inside:
🔬 research & passion projects
🚀 what activities ACTUALLY matter
🧩 how to build a strong “spike”
❌ mistakes most students make
🌱 how to create a profile with real impact

This is probably one of the most useful things we’ve posted so far.

💚 Learn smarter. Live balanced.
